Discuss with your family or friends the arrangement of your home, furniture and lighting. Illuminated magnifiers, talking clocks, large button telephones, large print and talking books and numerous other devices are available. Consider marking the edges of steps and changing the colour of flooring and other surfaces to make things visible and safe.

If you are eligible for registration as visually impaired, a special Certificate of Visual Impairment must be completed by your Consultant Eye Surgeon in order to facilitate the home assistance and additional help that may be available to you.
